On the poly mates

It's been a long time since I last met up with my poly mates. The other day, we met up to celebrate J's birthday and also to do some catching up.

I don't know why. But everytime I'm with them, my ears fail to function as per normal and I start hearing weird things like how "storeman" can become "superman" and so on. They give up on me.

We like to catch up on the latest gossips revolving around our OTHER poly mates. We start our conversations by "Is she still with so and so?" or "The other day, I saw so and so..." or "What is she doing currently" and what's not. We are kay-poh and gossipy creatures.

As much as all four of us are unhappy with our current jobs, we are still pretty much stuck in the rut. That is, no change at all. We always ask each other, "How long are you planning to work until?" Of course, the underlying meaning would be, "When are you planning to change job?" This has been going on for 3 freaking years and it can get rather depressing.

On a lighter note, all four of us have changed our old and trusty handphones. Out of the four, three of us hold a Nokia 7610 and the other, a Nokia 6260. (For the record, all three Nokia 7610 are black)

Like babies with their new toys, we fiddled around with our phones, exploring one another's photos, videos and ringtones. We had fun bluetooth-ing one another interesting ringtones, especially one particular Hokkien version that rose the eyebrows of many around our table. We would then giggle like kindergarten kids, then try to hush away.

Armed with our powerful camera phones, we had fun snapping pictures away. People must be thinking what the four siao char bors are doing, toy shop also nice to shoot.

I had a big angsty pimple which was too ugly to show.

Meeting up was fun. We should meet up more often.
