Sick on post-boxing day sucks!

It sucks to be sick on boxing day, or post boxing day, as a matter of fact. Especially, when you're off and intended to get out for some fresh Christmas air and shopping!

Apparently, the body reckons an off day at work is equivalent to an off day for the immune system as well. That explains the continuous sneezing and forever running nose. I swear I've never sneezed so many freaking times in my life before! It's like 342348203849283402834 times, continuously, consecutively, whatever-ly for a straight 2 hours. A hiatus of like, 10 minutes ensue before it starts all over again.

Sucks ttm!

It makes you, me and everybody else feels loved.

Don't you think it's marvelous?

Merry X'mas!

As the years go by, Christmas has become a nondescript event to celebrate. And in the end, we just went out for countdown because of countdown. Boring, isn't it?

And no, there wasn't any countdown actually. No 5 4 3 2 1, Merry X'mas! Simply blowing silly party packs and poppers... I foresee the same stuffs another 7 days later, and then we would have survived yet another year.

In any case, I would like to wish you guys

Christmas shopping

I intended to do some Christmas shopping at Orchard yesterday, but lazy me woke up too late to drag my lazy arse all the way to Orchard, so I settled by shopping at Tampines instead.

It was only 3pm, which was neither lunchtime nor knock-off time, but the whole of Tampines was so freaking crowded as if it's the weekend already! Tell me, did everybody take leave to shop or what?!

Anyway, I finished majority of my christmas shopping (hopefully), and successfully burnt, not one, but plenty of holes in my wallet. I'm officially, VERY BROKE in 2006. Not a very good start to 2007 hor...

Plenty of dinner functions this week.... Third dinner today, and counting... More broke and fatter...

So there.

The Post-Christmas Post
//Listening to: Belinda Carlisle - Circle in the Sand

I know this post has been way way past post-Christmas, but anyway, here goes.

Christmas eve was a quiet affair spent at Mr Eeyore's house, eating Chinese takeaway food aka 煮炒 and watching "Narnia". It was a little different from past years whereby we would spend the night squeezing among the sweaty and rowdy crowd at Orchard, with strangers spraying confetti or bottles of "snow" at your faces and you don't know whether to laugh at them or laugh with them. Sometimes, I do not understand why Singaporeans make it a must to get out of the house during Christmas eves. It seems as though we would be deemed "losers" if we do not have any programmes for the said occasion. I suppose in other countries, people would most probably spend the night having a quiet dinner with close ones, and would likely to get out on Christmas day itself or Boxing day. I don't know, maybe someday I shall spend Christmas overseas, or maybe someday, I might contradict my notion of "quiet Christmas eves" altogether.

Christmas day was spent with the colleagues BBQ-ing. We had a small gathering at S's condo and because we had such kickass commitee members (me included) and I make such kickass invitations, we had a wonderful BBQ so far. Because I did not know how to operate Mr Eeyore's camera phone as superbly as my own lost phone, I did not take much photos. Anyway, here goes.

5 Litre Heineken Posted by Picasa

Frankly speaking, I think we had more alcohol than food in reality. We had 4 bottles of red wine, one bottle of 1 litre plain vodka, one bottle of 1 litre peach vodka and one barrel of 5-litre Heineken.

Horrible I tell you! People were watching down from their units to see a bunch of crazy gals bbq-ing in the hot afternoon sun and ranting in loud voices. At one point, I think PS shouted "I AM NOT WEARING PUSH-UP!" Total 丢脸! We later conspired to throw her into the pool to wake her up, of course with much ranting and struggling.

The most 丢脸 thing is, the next slot user for the BBQ pit was a young chap in his twenties and he said, "You had a wild party just now? I saw a bunch of crazy gals...." Throw face until don't know where to hide.

But of course, we would like to emphasize that we are afterall, NOT alcoholics. We are just dipsomaniacs. If you know what that means.

So, what are you gonna do this New Year eve? I swear I'm gonna get out of the house this time round.

Sad Christmas
Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You

My poor heart is still aching for my lost phone. The fact is, not only did I lose my phone, but along with it, my entire collection of photos, videos and contact numbers.

Everybody who knows me knows that I take a considerable amount of photos and videos, from the places I go to the things I eat. The photos and videos are an important part to my memories, and losing them would mean losing part of my memories.

Now, I'm deeply traumatized every time I eat something, because it reminds me that I've eaten the same thing and taken photos of it before. With that, it triggers the thought that I've lost my phone f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Of course, you may argue that I can start all over again, nothing is impossible what! But sadly also, nothing is the same anymore. Like the fact that my SIM card now has only 10 miserable contacts, and I have to resort to asking everybody who sms me Christmas messages, "Sorry just lost my phone, who are you ah?"

Since I lost the phone, I've "test drive" every one of my friends' phones and surfed the website for new phones, but sadly, nothing fancies me at the moment. Either it does not have expandable memory, or it has ugly design like a sweet potato. Want to get a phone for Christmas present also difficult. Shit.

Today is Christmas Eve and I have no programmes for the day. For the first time ever, I think I will have to spend a lonely Christmas Eve night at home.

I hate the bloody thief who stole my phone. I hope you lose yours too.

To the rest, Merry Christmas and a good year ahead.
