I want go clubbing...//Listening to: 潘嘉麗 - 爱,无力MOS sent me a postcard for some "
I'm gorgeous" - Free candy floss free lollipops for the ladies
thingy.
My friend asked me to go this Wednesday.
It's been a long time since I last went clubbing, and I sooooo wanted to go.
But I also know I'd be god-damned freaking burned out if I go coz' I'm on an almost 7-week working schedule this week.
Hell.

The Service IndustrySometimes I think I have the tendency to meet the craziest customers.
Like the other time, there's this woman who asked me to swipe her library card to access her personal details.
Like, as if I've got the access. Besides, I think library cards are obsolete, now use IC leh.
Or the other time, this guy went off without a word to some random place God knows where and came back to tell me he don't have all the freaking time in the world to wait for me, when in the first place, he's the one agreeable for me to retrieve some fax documents for him, and I was only gone for like, 3 minutes.
Like, what the f**k. Or the other time, this guy came and insulted from top to bottom, saying I don't have a degree and thus failed Maths and some random rubbish.
Like, what the freaking f**k has Maths got to do with it. No logic lor.
Or the other time, this guy came with his medical appointment card and claimed it's his IC. Then, he freaking took out $10 and tell me it's $1,000.
Lagi no logic.
I think the list could go on and on. We should have a list of customers blacklisted under the category "Mad people". I think it would be really useful indeed. Like, everytime a mad customer comes in, we "scan" through the blacklisted for his/her name, and thinks, “
Oh, so he/she mad one ah…. Ok don't mind him/her so much” I think it will make our lives so much easier. Heck, I sound so much like a discriminator.
Sometimes, I think customers ask the silliest questions.
Like the other time, this guy queued for like 20 minutes and came to request for broadband access.
Like, what the f**k does it got to do with a Bank? “
This one not Starhub ah?” He asked. I was tempted with the urge to slap my forehead and ask him, “
Which freaking part of the logo or name does it remotely looks like Starhub??!!?”
Or the other time, this cute auntie came to the Bank and asked me a ton of questions of ANOTHER Bank, and when I finally clarified with her. She told me, in fluent Mandarin no less, “我明明看到 xxx 银行的 logo 才进来的啦!!” So funny I didn't know what to say.
Sometimes, I wonder how long am I going to stay in the service line. People has been telling me to change my job, but I cannot visualize myself sitting in that freaking cubicle, breathing stale office air, staring at the computer, with minimum people contact, from 9-5. I think I will die lor. Freaking die I tell you.
Talking about stale office air, is it the ventilation or something I don't know, I just think they have the same kind of smell in almost all office departments. The “smell-and-you-know-it's-office” smell. I think.
I think I like meeting different people everyday. Not that I'm a socialite or something, in fact, it seems all weird coz I think I'm an introvert.
By the way, to digress abit, I told my colleagues I'm an introvert and they laughed at me. “
Introvert my foot! Don't look like lor.” But, I'm seriously introverted lor. I think my close friends would believe me lar. Especially when I like to tell them that I'm an introvert and shy. But most of the times, they refute the shy part. Shit man, why they don't believe me?? Don't they know introvert and shy goes together?? I'm seriously an introvert lar. I think only
Mr Eeyore will agree with me. Then again, most of the times, he only nods in disbelief.
Anyway, to conclude, I'm seriously an introvert. Me, typing all this nonsense in front of the computer can attest the fact. IT IS A FACT. I don't go around talking about all these in front of real-life people, I blog about these, remember? But then again, I think I did.
Sheeesh.
Back to meeting different people. As an introvert, on normal days, if you were to ask me to chat up some random strangers, I will balk at the very idea and die I tell you! But somehow, it seems the perfect and natural thing to do at work. In fact, I think I can “snook” customers very well. Wahahaha~
In any case, I think Singapore needs to look into the concept of servicing in the industry. In other countries, the service industry can be considered one of the “prestige occupations”. But in Singapore, service providers are treated like,
shit. Like they are of second-level and earn no respect. Like, they owe you and are born to serve you. Some
ya-ya people are like that. Like, the other time this stupid woman told me that we shouldn't have lunch because we should serve them so they can have their own lunch, and we can have our freaking lunch after banking hours. Terrible I tell you. Like, you are human and I'm a robot ah?
Why so big a difference?
I seriously think we need to educate the customers. You and I, the customers and the service providers, need some coaching, someway or another.

Valentine's DayYou know what, I'm starting to hate Vday, not because I don't have a date, but because I think Vday doesn't seem to like me.
Like,
last year this day,
Mr Eeyore chose to fly to
Auzzie on this freaking day!
This year, I am freaking sick!
Not that I have a whole line of programmes today, but it just sucks to be sick on this day, especially when you've specially taken leave to go out.
Shit. Now I'm stuck at home, sneezing away.
Might as well. I reckon the streets outside will be infested with lovey-dovey couples, with girls holding freaking expensive roses given to them by their
supposedly loving but dumb boyfriends, and sold by those freaking evil florists meant to "
ka" these
supposedly loving but dumb boyfriends.
I will personally kill
Mr Eeyore if he buys me any roses. I'd rather he buy me something practical like a phone or some random gadget anytime.
Since I'm on the topic of lovey dovey couples, I shall also mention that it's not a very good idea to be working on this day as well. The last time I worked, every freaking customer was a freaking lovey dovey couple interlocking hands, whispering sweet-nothings and smooching like nobody's business. Like I'm transparent.
I know this is
cliche, but if you're happy together every day, then every day is Valentine's day. No?
Oh well, maybe I'm just jealous because I'm stuck at home today.

The WeddingYesterday, I went to my polymate's wedding dinner at
Holiday Inn Atrium. I was so stupid, I took MRT to Tiong Bahru Station, then waited a whole 20 minutes for cab. When in actual fact, I could have taken to Orchard MRT, then take bus 16, because the freaking hotel is just opposite Zouk and I know how to go to Zouk.
Anyway, this is the first wedding dinner I've attended of somebody who's of the same age as me. I've always thought that 24 years old is a little bit too young to get married, like you can enjoy a few more years of singlehood before getting hitched. But then, I've also came to realize that if the next few years of dating life is going to be the same as your past years, then why waste time when you can start a new phase of life? Just some random thought.
My friend looked gorgeous that day. I supposed every bride is at her most beautiful on her special day. I read somewhere that women are always fantasizing about her own wedding. Funny though, coz I have not actually thought of how my own wedding would be.
I think a wedding dinner is also a good place to mingle and catch up with friends whom you have not seen for a long time. Another friend commented that wedding dinners nowadays are like so "express", you can finish it within 2 hours or so, as compared to your
ah-ma times. I think it's because as you get older, quality time passes like a flash, especially so when you come for the dinner late as compared to your
ah-ma times, when people arrive for dinner at 6 and you are young without friends of your age, so you just sit at one corner and rot while everybody else is busy talking.
On a sidenote, I realized just yesterday how gentlemanly my friend's boyfriend is.
You know, gentlemanly guys never fail to impress me.

Random shit
Shit! - I think I overspend again this month. It's been happening far too often and I wanna die.
Double shit! - I missed the first epi of the new season
Desperate Housewives despite numerous reminders to stay at home so that I can catch it on tv.
Failed.
Triple shit! - Right now, this moment, I'm sneezing like nobody's business and I really feel like shit lor.

I hate pimples!// Listening to: 杨丞琳 - 理想情人I have a nasty outbreak of pimples!!!
My face is once again infested with those nasty things called pimples. There used to be only one or two (which I already think is unbearable) massive pimples on the nose, but now, it has escalated to the forehead, chin and everywhere on the bloody T-zone. Like, 3 on the forehead, one in its "pre-stage" on the nose, one somewhere around the upper lips threatening to burst, and I think another one also in its "pre-stage" on the chin. The horror!!!!
I just want to die.
Mr Eeyore is happy to comment that I should change my name to
Pimple Heng instead. Why, thank you very much.
Sometimes, I suspect it's
Mr Eeyore himself who's cursing me with the pimples. Like, when he's in Australia, I don't remember my pimples being that bad. Moreover, he's been cursing me with one pimple per cab ride to work.
That explains it. I think I've been taking a tad too much cabs to work recently.
Shit.

Happy New Year 恭喜发财!!!!It seems like just yesterday when we were still very hyper during 除夕, and especially joyous because we have an extra holiday off on 初三 this year, making it a straight 3/4 days off work. Whoa, like so
shiok!
In a flash, the holidays are over and we are faced with an impending workload. Work seems especially dreary when you are supposed to be in a joyous mood, eating
bak kwa and pineapple tarts. I luuuurve
bak kwa.
Sometimes, I'm so lazy, I think the government should give us holidays from 初一 all the way to 十五晚. Good idea right?
Muahahha.......
Anyway, after 团圆饭, I sneaked out to meet
S at Chinatown to squeeze with the crowd. I think the human traffic was horribly jammed lor, sometimes, the jam was like totally NOT moving at all and I wondered what is so fantastic up in front to stop them from moving.
Talking about "
human jam", I personally think that it is understandable that the crowd can get pretty unbearable. Most probably you can't move, feel stuck with nothing to see, sweat like nobody's business, short of breath or whatsoever, but you've got to understand some people just like to bask in the festive mood by simply jostling in the crowd. But it's expected right?!
There was this mad man, I presumed, that knocked me so hard, I nearly fell off balance. I think he did it on purpose, after knocking me, he was still clenching his fists, with his arms arched like a wrestler ready to fight anybody in his way. I swear I was not exaggerating because everybody else started to "
siam".
Siao right, know sure got alot of people wan mah, don't like don't come lar, come here and knock people for what,
sekali I fall how?? Never say sorry somemore! How gentleman. Shit you.....
I think I must forget about this guy, just make my blood boil. New Year must talk about happy things. We shall look at pictures. By the way, I think the Taiwan muah-chees are in-vogue now, they were selling like mad at any other stalls.
By 初三, which is yesterday, me and fellow colleague
F got so bored because we only have visiting on the first day, decided to go Marina Square for some KTV.
New Year, KBox also have new interface and system. They even have games lor! But somehow, I couldn't get the "
Play" button to work on the games part. We were also having some problems adapting to the new system. So in order to familiarize myself with the new system, I decided to "
test-drive" by pressing this button and pressing that button. At one point, I even touched the screen to test if it's upgraded to touch screen. Heck, not so advanced yet lor.
I think I pressed too much, the system suddenly rebooted and all the songs I've painstakingly selected are GONE!! We called the service staff and he said it's new system so he also don't know. Like I know like that. Colleague
F nearly murdered me for erasing her playlist.
Anyway, back to work today. Like I said, I really don't feel like working today, they really should give us more holidays lor, 3 days not enough. In actual fact, I think it'd be better if everyday is a holiday. Like money will drop from the sky.
To start the first working day in the New Year, bosses gave each of us a 开工红包, which is actually a Big Sweep ticket.
I was hoping to strike the $2 million, or second or third prize also can. Then I can throw letter and 过个大肥年. But like previous years, I have no luck in such things.
Haiz.
Some random food we had include sushi, 鱼生 and red wine, that was pre-celebration before new year that is.
In other matters, I met the most outrageous and stupid customers today. Please tell me, what do you actually do with stupid people?
Let me end this post with a
恭喜发财 once again.
身体健康 and
财源滚滚来 !!!
Happy New Year!!!Labels: Chinese New Year
